About Kathleen
Kathleen is the Martha Stewart of Sustainable Living, Farming, and Gardening. She is an esoteric farmer and real pioneer in the local food movement, as well as a key player and a mover and a shaker in Colorado's emerging agritourism world.
Kathleen has been farming sustainably for 20 years. She attended Colorado State University where she studied Non-Profit Leadership and Management, Horticulture and Agriculture. She is a Permaculturalist, Master Gardener, Horticultural Therapist, Holistic Healer, Reiki Practioner, Artist and a graduate of the Building Farmer's Program through the Larimer County Cooperative Extension.
In 2003 she received The Outstanding Young Coloradoan Award for her work teaching horticulture and agriculture to children and young adults with developmental disabilities through Gardening Angels, Inc., a successful non-profit she founded and was the executive director of for 11 years.
Kathleen has received her Colorado Cottage Food License and Certificate in Food Preservation. She is a Holistic Farming, Gardening and Living consultant /teacher and founder of Gaia's Grow School an online Permaculture & Holistic Healing Show. She appears as a regular guest on radio shows, film and at other events around the country sharing her expansive knowledge and experience in sustainable farming systems and organic gardening as well as her deep passion for permaculture, sustainable living, and holistic healing.
