About Kayla

I have spent over a decade learning about learning. I started early on as a student tutor for other students. I went on to research on the psychology of learning, behavior, and how associations build within the brain. During my time in college and in graduate school, I would help others with their writing as well as proofread and edit the work of others. This could be anything from an essay, to a speech, to a grant or proposal. Eventually, I became a certified counselor which meant I could guide others on career decisions, personal and professional assessments, mental health and relational health. I currently work in communication access, creating live captions for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities at schools and universities across the United States.

About the lesson

Hello lifelong learners! Linguistics and vocabulary are a part of my everyday life.
Much of my work is based on rapport. I would like to get to know you and your needs first and foremost. From there, we can find the best ways in which I could support your goals and learning objectives. I believe in effective communication and timely interactions.
