About Sufyan
I hold a BSc in Genetics, a Master’s and PhD in Biology, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have experience teaching, assessing and supporting students at university level, as well as working with A-level Biology examinations. I enjoy teaching because I believe difficult scientific ideas become manageable when they are explained clearly and connected logically. My aim is to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming gaps in their knowledge and building confidence. I am patient, approachable and committed to helping every student develop the understanding, exam technique and academic skills needed to achieve their goals.

I explain complex Biology topics in clear, simple steps and use diagrams, real-life examples, targeted questions and exam-style practice to strengthen understanding. Students also learn how to use key scientific terminology, interpret data, structure high-quality answers and avoid common mistakes. I support A-level, Foundation Year and university students with Biology, exam preparation, laboratory reports and scientific writing. Each lesson is supportive and interactive, with constructive feedback and a clear plan for continued improvement.
