About Juli
Calmness guides my studio where I draw on 4 years of teaching to help you navigate the nuances of the instrument. I remember a student struggling with shifting positions until we broke down the mechanics of the left hand. My background includes rigorous training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Developing ear training and double stops requires patience and a clear focus on classical repertoire. Whether refining orchestral playing or tuning by ear, I help you find clarity in your practice. Feel free to reach out if you want to explore these techniques together.

Actually, focusing on the mechanics of sound remains the most enjoyable part of our 10 minute setup routine. I bring my background as a Guildhall graduate to ensure your technique serves the music you want to play.
We start by examining the specific pressures required to draw a consistent bow. Developing agility across the fingerboard happens naturally when we isolate individual challenges. I emphasise the physical connection between your body and the instrument during every movement. My 4 years of teaching inform how I explain complex concepts clearly.
Consistency turns small technical adjustments into massive improvements over time. We will explore how tone production informs your interpretation of various classical pieces. Perhaps we can look at your current repertoire in our next meeting. Please consider letting me know which pieces you are currently working on.
