About Amber
Creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for teaching others, whether it be at an academic level or teaching functional living skills.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings.
I have helped others learn skills related to daily living, independence, job and interview preparation, job maintenance, social skills, etc. I have experience teaching both in person and virtually. I also have extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities.
I strongly believe it is important to meet others where they are at, using a strengths based approach, and pivoting when I need to pivot to best support those I’m teaching.
And lastly, I have a 4-year-old daughter so I can truly appreciate the value of creativity and exploration.

I focus on making my lessons fun and relative to you because there’s nothing worse than textbook examples that you cannot relate to, especially when you need help getting things to ‘stick’. My lessons are collaborative in nature and while they might involve a lecture component, I want the majority of the lesson to feel like a conversation followed by opportunities to apply your knowledge/ skills.
