About Aerin
Aerin Sizelove is an artist originally from Ohio she moved to the Bay Area where she lived for 18 years before moving to Seattle in 2021. She always had a strong interest in art starting at a very young age, when she was a child, she enjoyed painting among other mediums. She attended the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
2003. Since then, she has experimented in many mediums such as sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, crafts, jewelry and mixed media while continuing to develop new techniques in painting. She's also a member of the NWSSA a stone carving group in the Pacific Northwest and recently joined as a board member to help keep the organization bringing in newer members and help as a tech liaison and occasionally teaches stone carving in North Bend. She works in tech full time as an office manager and hopes to one day build an artist co-op as a live/work space in the Seattle area.

My approach to teaching art is hands-on, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s experience and creative goals. I combine practical demonstrations with guided instruction, allowing students to learn techniques while developing their own artistic voice. A typical lesson begins with an introduction to the materials and process, followed by demonstrations, hands-on practice, and individualized feedback. I create a supportive environment where experimentation is encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of the learning process. My lessons are ideal for beginners, intermediate artists, students exploring art and design, or anyone looking to build confidence in stone carving, paper sculpture, abstract painting, or mixed media. My background in Interior Design and experience across multiple artistic mediums allows me to bring both technical knowledge and a strong understanding of composition, form, texture, and creative problem-solving to each lesson.
