About Lorna
I am a bilingual-fluent in Spanish and English-full-time college student at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. I loved most of my life in the United States of America which is where I learned English. My goal is to help students feel 100% confident in their Spanish language skills. I am more than happy to assist with questions regarding the Spanish language as a whole and details about my Puerto Rican culture. I accommodate all my lessons to have at least one activity towards each different type of learning. For my visual and auditory learners, I have power points and videos. For kinesthetic learners, I have project-based learning. All of these three strategies along with reading and writing activities will be incorporated in my lessons. I do unit-based learning which will include lessons in them. I will have short quizzes for the lessons and unit exams once we are doing working through the lessons. Before every quiz and exam, I will have students make a review of the lesson/unit that the next quiz/exam will be over. I like to incorporate fun activities so that kids don’t just memorize information rather learn the language and learn how to use it. As I will be teaching Spanish, I also enjoy including activities over the many different Spanish-speaking countries and their cultures. Spanish is far more than just a language, and I cannot wait to help student discover the true beauty of it.
