I have been teaching and tutoring for fifteen years. As a professor at Thomas More University I have taught over 1000 students, many of whom have gone on to M.A. and Ph.D. programs, in both humanities and the social sciences, at top tier universities (Princeton, Stanford, Harvard).

I have been a teacher and tutor for fifteen years. As a professor at Thomas More University I have taught classes on American, European and global history, as well as introduced students to classic social and political texts. I have worked with a range of students, including international students for whom English is often a second language. For that reason I have had to develop effective communication skills and pedagogical tools to render my lessons both meaningful and accessible. This has entailed utilizing an array of multimedia resources (video, podcast, interactive and educational websites) to effectively organize and communicate subject material to students. It has also entailed tutoring individual students, outside of class, on the general mechanics of critical reading and writing.
