About Sasha

I completed a BA in History at the University of Oxford in 2023, ranking 4th overall in a cohort of 277 candidates. For this performance, I was awarded the Rupert Katritzky Prize in Modern History from my college, and a Gibbs Book Prize from the university. In the year I applied, my HAT score was 34/40, putting me in the 95th percentile of test-takers that year. As a Graduate Foundation Scholar, I've recently been awarded a Distinction for the MSc in Digital Scholarship from Oxford as well, so I'm also happy to chat about digital methods in the humanities if that's something that interests you! I have previously tutored students ranging from secondary school to IB as well as students applying to History courses at uni, and I'm confident I can help you as well :)

About the lesson

Whether you're looking for admissions advice or you're currently an undergrad, my aim is to help you refine and feel confident in your own unique scholastic voice; there really isn't a one-size-fits-all approach especially in a field like History, and especially at a place like Oxford! Likewise, lessons are intended to be highly flexible, depending on your academic sensibilities, interests, and how you best learn, e.g. some students prefer to write up responses to past-year HAT exams and receive feedback while others may prefer discussing them together verbally. We can tailor an approach which would best suit you.
