I have taught social studies for many years, including many AP courses (US, World, Psych, Human Geography) and have taught Government, Economics, Psychology and Sociology. I have a degree in psychology and currently working towards a Masters in History and then a Masters in Political Science.

Historical Thinking Skills or HTS is crucial to understanding of how we got to where we are now. Nothing happens in a vacuum and so understanding of history is only possible through understanding the interconnections between different events. This includes learning common themes throughout eras, and changes that have occurred during time.
