About Sifiso
I am a History enthusiast with a passion for teaching and scholarship. I hold a BA (Tourism Development) degree and an BA Hons. (Historical Studies ) from the University of Johannesburg. I began my tutoring career in 2015 when I tutored grade 10-12 students in History, Tourism, and Geography. I have two years tutoring experience at undergraduate university level. I have tutored a wide range of courses that include; African History, East Asian History, Gender History, Environmental History, U.S. History, and the History of Advertising.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic person with a drive for knowledge dissemination and production so I usually offer tutorials in study-conducive environments such as classrooms, tutorial venues, and quiet rooms. My teaching method is based on a philosophy that sees continuous dialogue and critical engagement with learning material as paramount to the realisation of set learning outcomes. I usually give out History tutorials in a way that is very content-specific (usually tailored for the needs of the student(s) in question) and ensures that students approach learning material with the contemporary situation in mind. My tutoring hours are very flexible as I make time for students who need assistance. My tutoring consists of one-on-one sessions and group sessions that usually last an hour to an hour and a half (depending on the specific needs of the client).
