About Alex
I am a history graduate with a 2:1 degree from the University of Leicester. Furthermore, I also excelled at GCSE and A Level History (with A* in both) During my time at university, i had the pleasure of helping students with their exams, which greatly improved their grades. I believe there is no better way to excel in a subject than to speak to people who have been there and done it. With my experience and encouragement I will therefore work closely with my students and impart my knowledge and desire of the subject on to them and help them achieve their desired grades.

Having experienced a variety of teaching methods and implementing successful techniques, i feel the most effective way for students to learn and really benefit from lessons is through the students themselves being interactive, with time for them to speak and discuss. A common teaching method which i learned and implement is the 70%- 30% rule, where it is 70% practice and 30% teaching. As the cliche goes, practice makes perfect, and this is especially true in regards to remembering facts and information.
