About Jamie

I have newly entered teaching as I have some volunteering in schools and some experience with TEFL. I have a huge passion to teach others, especially with the general topic of humanities. I love discussing history and geography and the themes within them. I recently graduated university and I am keen to share my knowledge with you.

About the lesson

In individual lessons, I will tailor the lessons to what you would like assistance with. Want to know how to plan and write an excellent essay on the significance of Matthew Perry and the U.S. intervention in the Tokugawa Shogunate? or quite simply anything geopolitical that is current or historical? I will give you all the support needed to succeed!

For group lessons, I can specialize in 20th century British History, Tokugawa Japan, Post-war Japan 1945-1990, The British Empire and the Age of Sail 1445-1815, American Foreign Policy Post-war 1945-1991, American Pop Culture 1945-2000. If a class of at least three is secured, I will roll through my subjects of specialty in induced times, hopefully covering everything in these subject areas to secure a confident understand in it. I consider myself flexible and so I am able to teach subjects outside the areas of my specialty within reason.

Subjects will change every month with two lessons per week. At the end of each month, all student will present an area of the subject taught to show they are confident in the subject they have learnt as well as being able to create a competent argument and debate on a topic of their choice dependent on its relevance to the monthly course.

Once enough interest is gathered, I will release a schedule of days available plus the subject that will be taught three months in advance at all times.

These lessons will begin low in price but will be subject to change dependent on popularity of course. I will soon begin offering discounts for longer lessons for either 5 or 10 hour sessions.
