I am a former history teacher from the United States who has traveled to London to pursue my graduate degree at the London School of Economics. I have had a passion for history since childhood and am particularly interested in the history of labour, the medieval world, and the impacts of slavery in the West.

My approach to historical teaching focuses on close reading and critical thinking. The wealth of history lies in the sources and in the words of scholars to help us understand the past. Facts, figures, and dates are important, but the writing and thinking skills required of a historian are the main focus of my lessons.
