About Trisha

I am an experienced tutor, artist educator and lifelong learner with a background in History of Art, photography, curating and creative education. I have always believed that quality education and the arts should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, ability or learning style. This belief is at the heart of my teaching. I enjoy helping students discover their strengths, develop their confidence and see learning as something enjoyable, meaningful and relevant to them. Through my experience working with a wide range of learners, including students with SEND, I have seen how much difference a supportive and personalised approach can make.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is personalised, creative and learner-centred. I believe that students learn best when they feel supported, engaged and confident, so I adapt each lesson to the individual’s needs, interests, learning style and goals. I use a combination of discussion, visual resources, questioning, practical activities, close analysis and structured feedback to develop knowledge, critical thinking, creativity and independent learning skills. For Art History and visual subjects, I particularly encourage students to look closely, ask questions, make connections and develop their own interpretations and ideas.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length depending on the student’s age, needs and level of study. I have over four years of tutoring experience, alongside extensive experience as an artist educator, learning mentor and community arts practitioner. I hold a degree in Art History and have professional experience in curating, photography and creative education. I also have specialist experience working with neurodivergent learners.

I teach students from a range of ages and levels, including GCSE and A-level students, Level 2 and Level 3 learners, adult learners and students looking to develop their creative portfolios or pursue further study. I have experience with the Edexcel, AQA and NCFE exam boards. My aim is to make every lesson engaging, accessible and enjoyable while helping students develop the confidence and skills to achieve their individual goals.
