About Zafirah

I am a first-class History Graduate and a current MA student at UCL. I have completed my GCSE and A Level qualifications, achieving a range of grades between A* - B. I have a passion for learning as well as teaching and have proved great in aiding other students to gain a better understanding in these subject areas. I hope I can continue doing this for many other students in the future.

About the lesson

I am able to give lessons to people from all backgrounds reaching up to A level requirements. I specialise particularly in History; however, I am also knowledgeable in the fields of Politics and Psychology. I am most fascinated by Global and Cultural history. Nevertheless, I am open to learning and teaching a variety of topics within this subject. I aim to plan lessons in an interactive form where I teach a topic whilst engaging with the student throughout to make sure they fully understand, before moving on. My teaching style can vary and I am willing to adapt to each individual student's preferences. I am aware that some students enjoy more auditory learning where they listen to me teach and simply take notes, whilst others may prefer more visual methods including mind maps, flow charts and diagrams to help understand the topic better. I am open to using a variety of methods based on these personal preferences and I can assure you I will work with you to make learning a more enjoyable experience.
