Saket Moghe, born in a musically influenced family, performed on a Marathi radio FM channel as a child artiste. Since then he started keenly studying music which involved all folk music, Kirtanas, Abhangas and Gazals. At the age of 16 he realized that his soulful interest is in Hindustani Classical Music and then began the search for the Gurus.
***Gurus:
When in Satara, he started learning under a very able classical vocalist Pt. Jayant Kejkar. Pt. Kejkar hails from Gwalior school of music and is known as a very tuneful vocalist in the music circle.
Saket moved to Pune for his further education and there he was immensely fortunate to be under very well known Gwalior singer, Pt. N. V. Diwanâs wings. Pt. Diwan taught him and bestowed upon him lot of love. Saket continued to learn under him for 7 long years till he moved to Bangalore.
Presently, Saket is seeking training under the able guidance of a renowned artist of Gwalior and Kirana Gharana, Pt.Vinayak Torvi for the last five years. Pt. Torvi is one of the finest musicians the country has produced and is known for his mastery over gayakis of various gharanas. Pt. Torvi is also a proud disciple of Late Bharatratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi.
On the academic front, Saket has completed his Post graduation in Computer Management and he presently works with PositiveEdge Technologies Pvt. Ltd., India
