Jaliyah is my tutor because I been having problems with English reading and not great grades but I’ve had 3 meetings with her and she’s great!! She has a warm presence and while we are working she always makes sure I know what I’m reading and we analyze it together and she’s my favorite tutor by far! I recommend!

I have known Jaliyah for six years. In that time, I have seen her show the exact kind of heart and focus that a classroom needs.
Kids need a teacher who is a steady role model, and Julia is exactly that. She has a very calm and welcoming way of talking to people. In all the years I have known her, I have almost never seen her lose her cool or raise her voice. This kind of patience is so important for a reading teacher. It helps students feel safe enough to take risks when they are learning new words or sharing their ideas about a story.
Jaliyah is also incredibly reliable. She stays "on task" with everything she does. Whether she is keeping up with her own schoolwork or sticking to her daily gym routine, she always does what she says she will do. She does not make excuses.
