About Kim
I am someone who is passionate about English and, over the course of my teaching career, I have learned just how challenging it is for many people to master the language. I have helped Engineering students with their final thesis, I have tutored first year university students who need to pass English literature and I have taught in primary schools where lessons need to be active and engaging. I currently teach high school students, some of whom have barriers to learning, others of whom are academic achievers who are looking for an edge to their work and yet others whose home language is not English. I really enjoy forming positive working relationships with my students and contributing meaningfully to their successes. I have experience teaching across a number of online platforms and am happy to use a platform that works for my students.

I make it a priority to find out my student's needs and I tailor my lessons accordingly as there is considerable difference among first and second language speakers as well as primary school, secondary school, tertiary education and those learning English for work purposes. Whatever it is, I have you covered.
Lessons may vary from 30 minutes to 90 minutes in length but typically I aim for 60 minutes. I can help young learners, learners with barriers to learning, first and second language speakers, those wanting to to improve their conversational skills and those wanting to write for academic or business purposes. I have over 20 years experience teaching in classrooms and online. I hold an MA and PGCE in English, as well as a level 5 certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
