About Elliot

I graduated from Durham University with a first-class degree in Geography and Anthropology, scoring 84% in my written dissertation, ranking in the top 10 of my cohort.

I went on to complete my PGCE (teaching qualification) in Geography at the University of Oxford through a scholarship from the Royal Geographical Society.

I now have 3 years teaching experience and have consistently facilitated excellent results. My August 2022 results were as follows: A Level –100% A*-B (55% A*). GCSE – 92% grade 9-7 (66% grade 9)

About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic Geographer who utilises academic and teaching experiences to get the best out of every learner. I believe that facilitating educational success comes from creating positive relationships, combining a clear understanding of subject content with effective exam technique and imbuing the intellectual curiosity and motivation required to achieve students' full potential. I take a conceptual approach to Geography where key concepts thread together the myriad themes in the subject. This further develops students' skills in geographically analysing and synthesising the world around them.
