About Mercedes
I was born in Belgium in a Spanish-speaking family where I quickly caught the “language bug” and decided to make languages a way of life. I'm fluent in French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, and I have a fairly good command of Italian and Dutch. I've been working in adult education for 30+ years, teaching a wide range of face-to-face and online lessons to groups and private individuals including top managers, diplomats and ambassadors. A keen traveller, I enjoy reading, walking, baking and I have a passion for all things health and aviation.

I have been teaching French, English and Spanish to adults for more than 30 years.
I specialise in exam (DELF/DALF) preparation and French or English for specific purposes.
I also offer French, English and Spanish conversation lessons.
My lessons are tailored to the students' needs but always include lots of fun because I believe that serious learning is best achieved in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
No boring coursebooks. I use a wide variety of engaging materials related to the students' interests.
