About Sean
I have a degree in Chinese studies from the University of Edinburgh, as well as 5+ years spent living studying and working in China/Taiwan. PGDE Chinese (secondary) (UoE) and MSc in International Relations from University of Glasgow. I have 5+ years' experience teaching Mandarin across a variety of Scottish schools.

I try to focus on connected speech; sense chunking and word stress must be taught alongside the four tones for Chinese language to sound natural and flow. Achieving communicative competency in authentic contexts should always be the goal of language learning.
