About Joanna
Hello! My name is Joanna and I have worked in primary education for 14 years. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence, enjoy learning and achieve their individual goals.
I gained my degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status in 2016. Since then, I have worked as a class teacher in two schools, as Acting Head of English and, most recently, as Head of Middle School on the senior leadership team at a leading London preparatory school.
As a teacher and tutor, I am kind, patient and understanding. Whether your child needs further challenge to prepare for tests or has always struggled to remember a particular spelling rule or times table, we will find fun and memorable ways to help them achieve their goals!
I will also keep families and carers informed about progress, lesson plans and areas for further development.

Hello! My name is Joanna and I look forward to meeting you!
My approach to tutoring sessions is to teach and revise key skills in fun, creative and engaging ways. Lessons are tailored to address misconceptions, revisit important topics and help your child become more confident and enthusiastic about learning.
With 10 years’ experience as a primary educator and four years as a senior school leader, I have supported hundreds of pupils in working towards their individual goals. I would be delighted to help your child achieve theirs.
Lessons usually last between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the child’s age and the subject. I am happy to also do 1hr sessions. These sessions are most suitable for children aged 7 to 10.
