About Sondra
I have been a public and private school elementary teacher and tutor for 23 years. I was trained and have taught both general and special education at the primary K-8 level. I have extensive training in writing, proofreading, creating reports, academic testing to evaluate the needs, goals, and accomplishments of my students. I keep track of this data and discuss my findings with students and parents so that we may create goals and discuss learning style, strengths, and areas in need of improvement.

In order to guarantee success, I recommend beginning with assessing and discussing the student’s unique learning style as well as finding specific academic strengths and weaknesses. This information is essential for both teacher and student when setting goals and creating high interest learning experiences. Each lesson will be created with these findings in mind thus ensuring a high rate of interest, motivation, and achievement. Using an interactive online classroom and depending on the student’s age and learning style, use of multimedia such as learning games, interactive quizzes, creative activities, and relevant vide/audio to aid in lesson delivery.
I also offer guided writing and revising, homework help, assistance with school assignments and reports, oral reports, PowerPoint presentations, and test prep. It’s like having a private teacher at your service!

Details
Rates are negotiable and will vary based on student needs, travel, and any extra expenses necessary and approved of before hand. Online classes are less expensive as they are more convenient for me and vacant be times where I would otherwise not be available.
