About Richard
I am a passionate biology and science tutor with an MSc (med) degree and 35 years of experience in education, offering personalised online and in person tutoring. I love tutoring because it allows me to share my extensive knowledge of biology and science in a way that clarifies difficult concepts and makes them easier to understand.
Guiding students to develop confidence and achieve their full potential in subjects that are valuable in understanding life itself is extremely rewarding. Every student is unique, and I enjoy preparing lessons that make science understandable and enjoyable. As we work together, we’ll develop a strong foundation to support your academic success and produce a significant interest in the natural world around us. I look forward to accompanying you on your journey in biology or science.

What makes my tutoring sessions stand out?
1) My experience of teaching over many years, and an excellent knowledge of the subject matter.
With an MSc in medical virology and 35 years of teaching experience, I bring a great deal of competence, ensuring that sessions are accurate, current, and aligned with the curriculum. All of this enables me to convey even complex topics in a way that can be easily understood.
2) An individualised, student-centred strategy.
Tutorials will be designed to make the course content easily understood, and with questions that will test your grasp of the content covered. I adapt my teaching methods and materials to fit your needs, using interactive content, real-life examples and appropriate visuals to make the content understandable and memorable.
