Teaching has been a passion of mine ever since it had such a transformative impact on me as a young person. Through literature, films, and storytelling, I discovered a whole world of possibilities, and I’m excited to share that journey with Scotland's next generation.

I've been fortunate enough to travel the world, from working with sled huskies in Austria to writing a puppet movie in Los Angeles, California.

These experiences have given me a unique perspective that I bring into the classroom, showing students how English and storytelling can open doors to incredible opportunities.

Most importantly, I've been through the exact same exams and essay writing tasks that you're going through right now, as well as an Undergraduate degree, a Masters and a PhD (ongoing). I can provide tried and tested exam techniques and writing hacks that will help you to both enjoy and ace your English exams.

Hello! I’m Sarah, a certified English teacher with 5 years of experience specialising in teaching Higher English and the National 5 Scottish curriculum.

Having grown up in the Scottish education system, I am deeply familiar with the texts and, most importantly, the exam strategies that will help you achieve the results you're looking for, without the stress. My approach will ensure that you enter your exams confident, cool as a cucumber and sharp as a brand new HB pencil!

Whether you're preparing for your Higher English / Nat 5 exams or aiming to refine your skills in essay writing, reading comprehension, or textual analysis, my lessons are designed to focus on your goals and needs.
