About Kate

Hi! My name is Kate McKenzie and I am a passionate ex-student teacher who wishes to continue helping students enjoy Irish! I use a combination of cultural and historical approaches to aid genuine understanding and interest in the subject, while also providing students with comprehensive notes and study skills individual to them. I enjoy finding alternative ways to learn and paying attention to how each student learns, for example, is your child a visual or aural learner? Is my child a logical or creative thinker? I also focus on exam papers and how to interpret questions as a neurodivergent student.

About the lesson

I believe that every student deserves one-on-one time with a tutor throughout their schooling. Students each have separate needs and require individualized study plans and learning experiences to push their learning forward. My approach is to ignite as much interest in the subject as possible, so that the student can approach the subject with less anxiety and stress.
