About Morgan
Hello! My name is Morgan, and I am a professional researcher, university educator, and international project director with over six years of experience working in global academic environments. Most recently, I served as a Sessional Instructor and Course Coordinator at the University of Victoria (UVic), and as a Project Assistant and Instructor at the Free University of Berlin in Germany. Having taught and mentored new undergraduate students across both Canadian, American, and European university systems, I know exactly where high school graduates usually stumble when transitioning to higher education.
My own academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Archaeology (Magna cum laude) from Kiel University in Germany, an M.Sc. in Environmental Archaeology (Distinction) from the University of Sheffield in England, and a B.A. (Honors) from Carleton University in Canada. I have led major, internationally funded scientific research projects spanning from Europe to Mongolia, specializing in biogeochemistry, environmental systems, and human history.
I bring this wealth of real-world, multi-disciplinary expertise directly to our sessions. I pride myself on being patient, organized, and approachable, ensuring you always have an encouraging, experienced insider guide in your corner.

Moving from high school to university-level academics can feel like a massive leap. The expectations for research, critical thinking, and technical writing change dramatically, especially when bridging the gap between humanities and hard sciences.
I am here to guide you through that transition. Drawing from my advanced research background, I help students master foundational concepts in Environmental & Climate Science, the Social Sciences (Anthropology/Archaeology), and Biogeochemistry. Whether you are exploring how human history intersects with changing landscapes, or diving into biological systems, earth processes, and isotopic data, I break down complex scientific concepts into clear, accessible pieces.
In our sessions, we will demystify the university applications, assignment and essay, as well as lab report blueprints. You will learn exactly how to build scientific arguments, analyze data, and handle academic citations with ease--prepping you for your entry into University life. My teaching style is collaborative, encouraging, and highly practical. I don’t just help you get through your current assignments; I give you the lifelong analytical tools, writing templates, and study habits needed to step into your first-year university science and social science courses with absolute confidence.
