About Mohammed

My name is Mohammed, and I am a medicine applicant with a strong academic background in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology. I achieved A*A*A at A-level respectively and have a strong understanding of the current GCSE and A-level specifications, exam techniques, and the skills required to achieve high grades.

Amongst my many qualities, I believe my ability to adapt lessons to each student’s individual needs is invaluable. Every student learns at a different pace and has their own strengths and areas for improvement, which is why I believe tutoring should be tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

As a Teaching Assistant, I have experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. I encourage and challenge students to reach their full potential while ensuring they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Through this experience, I have developed strong communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to identify where a student may be struggling and find alternative ways to explain a concept.

I am passionate about helping students build not only their academic knowledge, but also their confidence and independence as learners. Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for exams, or simply wants to push themselves further, I aim to create supportive, engaging and personalised lessons that help them make genuine progress.

Having recently completed my own GCSE and A-level studies, I understand the difficulties students face with challenging topics, exam pressure, and effective revision. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple explanations, changing pace, and building confidence through practice and exam-style questions.

My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can make measurable progress, whether they are looking to improve their grades or achieve top results.

About the lesson

I offer face-to-face lessons at the student’s home or a convenient location at no extra cost, providing personalised, focused support in an environment where they can learn at their best.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to your goals, current ability, and learning style. Whether you need help understanding a single concept, mastering an entire topic, or preparing for exams, I'll adapt the lesson to suit your needs.

Lessons can focus on anything from one specific section you're struggling with to a complete topic, with sessions typically lasting between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the amount of content we want to cover.

My teaching style is interactive and exam-focused. I break difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations before reinforcing them with worked examples, practice questions, and exam-style techniques. I also teach students how to avoid common mistakes and improve their exam performance, not just memorise content.

My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students of all abilities, whether you're aiming to pass, improve your confidence, or achieve the highest grades. Having completed these courses recently, I know what examiners are looking for and can share effective revision and exam strategies.
