About Melissa

My experience in public education has allowed me the privilege of working with students from various backgrounds, learning styles, and education levels. I have taught students in grades 6-12, primarily grades 9-12. I am a certified Texas educator. In addition, I am an award-winning Speech & Debate coach who can help you take your writing and/or speaking to the next level.

About the lesson

My teaching style focuses on formulas for effective communication, which are easily adaptable to the student’s needs and the context of communication. I am a 25-year veteran teacher in the Texas public schools and have coached award-winning speakers at the state and national levels. I can assist you with reading comprehension, analysis, persuasive writing, essays, and improving your written and oral communication.
