About Lisa
I have a Masters degree in Counseling, spending 13 years in social work, including 2 years in private practice. I crossed over and became a writer and have authored 15 novels, publishing 11 of them. I'm passionate about people and literature. I love this younger age of high school, firmly believing that if we can connect with them at this age, then we can really set them up for success as they progress through high school.

Lessons are geared for 9th and 10th grade English. Focus is on foundational writing and literary analysis. We'll mainly use short stories as a base for our study. I'm a big believer in conversation to get the analysis juices flowing. There's not a lot of right or wrong. Most questions begin with, "Why do you think..." This is where all great literary analysis begins!
