My approach: - My goal as a tutor is to make challenging material feel manageable and even enjoyable. It's important to me that I foster a judgment-free environment where it isn't embarrassing to be wrong or to ask questions. I offer tutoring for middle school and high school students in subjects like English, history, writing, and test prep. Typical Lesson Plan: - Check-in: How are you feeling about the topic? Any urgent questions? - Mini-Lesson: Clear explanation of the topic using examples. - Practice Time: Work through problems, prompts, or readings together. - Wrap-up: Quick review and plan for next time. I also give optional follow-up resources or practice if you want to stay sharp between sessions. Why me? - As a student myself, I understand the pressures of school firsthand. I know how to explain things in a way that makes sense to other students. It's crucial I don’t just give answers but instead help you build the tools to find them on your own.
