About Esther
My name is Esther, and I’m a high school student at Whangaparāoa College currently studying NCEA Level 2. I’ve always loved and been passionate about English, and I’m now working towards an English Scholarship for university.
As someone who grew up learning English as an additional language, I understand how challenging it can be to learn and build confidence in English from a young age. I developed my own strategies and learning techniques to improve, and English is now my strongest subject.
I’m passionate about sharing the strategies that helped me and making English easier and more enjoyable for younger students. I’ll tailor my lessons to each student’s individual skill level and learning needs, with a focus on building a strong foundation and growing their confidence over time.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and learning level. I aim to make lessons fun, engaging, and easy to understand while helping students build confidence in English. We can work on reading, writing, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and creative writing. I’ll use activities and exercises suited to the student rather than simply following a textbook.
