About Krystal
Even though I am new to tutoring, I am professional, confident, and really enjoy talking to people! I have a naturally kind, patient, and bubbly personality, which makes it easy for me to connect with students and keep them motivated. Because I just took these math and science classes myself, the material is fresh in my mind and I know exactly what teachers look for. My main goal is always to accommodate my students, understand their specific needs, and do my absolute best to provide the right support so they can succeed and feel confident.

As a high school junior, I tutor elementary, middle, and early high school students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Biology, and Chemistry. Being a student myself, I understand the current curriculum well and can explain concepts in a straightforward, relatable way. I hold a 3.0 GPA, I know how to study and work hard to understand tough material, and I want to use that experience to help my students build better study habits and confidence.
My lessons follow a clear structure to keep things organized. I start with a quick review of the last lesson, explain the new topic using simple real-world examples, and then use the "I do, we do, you do" method so the student gets plenty of practice. I also like to ask guiding questions to help them figure out the answers on their own. We end each session by having the student explain the concept back to me to make sure they fully understand it before we preview what’s coming next!
