About Ash

I am an AP student currently enrolled in my school's AP Capstone program, where my AP focus is on English and history classes. I'm a determined, but understanding teacher, and as long as your student is willing to work to even the slightest degree with me, they will see the results that both you and they want.

About the lesson

I have attended summer sessions at prestigious universities and several workshops, specifically those focused on English and Language Arts. I am strong-willed and will make sure, one way or another, your student is reliably knowledgeable in the subject that they once left much to be desired in. I tend to start by talking to the student or parent to gauge the level they're at; from there, the lesson plan is based on them entirely. I attempt to implement semi-strict (but very doable) time limits and deadlines in an attempt to help instill good time management skills when it comes to work. I always meet my students where they're at and build from there at a pace that is appropriate for them, with quizzes and such along the way to ensure they're on the correct path and trajectory that will set them up for success. I will tutor anywhere from 1st grade to high school seniors for a flat rate that I am open to negotiating.
