About Jade
I am a high school student in grade eleven attending Meadowridge School in Maple Ridge, BC. I am currently completing the first year of the IB diploma program at my school. In the past I have taught kids ages 5 -10 how to read, how to improve their reading skills as well as basic math and spelling skills.

I like to adjust my teaching methods depending on the child I am working with. I like to make my lessons focused but also fun. A typical class with me starts with a review from the previous session, followed by a fun learning game or activity. After that we will read a book together then complete activities and/or worksheets targeted towards what the child needs to work on. Depending on the child's struggles or the topic being covered I may assign some light homework for additional practice. I am always open to provide additional help and resources.
