About Chidera
With over 3 years of biology tutoring experience at DeBakey High School, I have experience working with students with different learning styles, backgrounds, and levels of understanding. As a 5-scoring AP Biology student and current AP Biology teacher assistant, I understand both the content and the challenges students face when preparing for the AP exam.
My goal here is to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can ask as many questions as you need to, make mistakes, and finally understand the material. I come prepared for every session and tailor our lessons to your specific needs, whether you need help catching up, understanding the diverse AP Biology concepts, or preparing for the AP Biology exam.
You don’t need to be “good at biology” before you come to me. That’s what I’m here to help you with.

I’ve been tutoring students in biology at DeBakey High School for over 3 years, during both the school year and summer, and I earned a 5 on the AP Biology exam. As a current AP Biology teacher assistant, I’ve continued developing my ability to recognize where and why a student is struggling, whether it’s the content, test-taking strategy, or time management.
I personalize my tutoring to you, focusing our time on breaking down the topics you struggle with in a way that makes sense to you rather than reviewing material you already understand. We’ll work through practice problems together until you can solve them confidently on your own.
Whether you’re struggling with cellular processes, genetics, metabolism, evolution, or AP-style FRQs, I’ll meet you where you are and help you get where you want to be.
