About Saanvi

I believe in the age old cliche: if you put your mind to it, anyone can accomplish anything. I am a very optimistic person, and am not afraid to tell you I believe in you hundreds of times. Many people get in their head, especially for math, even if they really do know what they're doing, and I'm going to help you recognize that you do know what you're doing, and if you don't, I'll help you get to that stage. I am in a Math National Honors Society, where we tutor students in high school and work with elementary school students to teach them math, and it has been such a pleasure to see the spark in their eyes when they understand what is being taught. Sometimes, teachers move very quickly through content, and not everybody is able to follow that, and I'd help you understand that content, but if we need to slow down, I will, because one on one support is so important, and I am not hesitant to explain the same concept ten times, if need be, so long as you understand the idea, being equally as patient each time, if not more.

About the lesson

I'm a high school senior who has mastered her math classes from Kindergarten all the way to her junior year AP Precalculus course. I have taken outside math classes through the Russian School of Mathematics (a rigorous math class) as well. I love to work with people and help them understand math to the best of my ability. I am a creative person, so I am always ready to learn new techniques or work with people's capabilities. My lessons would be for anyone in Kindergarten to Precalculus level mathematics. A typical lesson plan would be spending some time catching up with the person I'm tutoring and just talking about their life (as much as they want), and then starting off with problems they were having trouble on in school, helping them do those, and finding/solving some problems of that type to drive the concept being asked in the problems home. I am very flexible as well, so any timing changes, or if a person learns a specific way, is something I am willing to work with. I'm a very social person, so I will always value communication and hard work, but other than that, I'm very patient, easy to talk to, and friendly! I can't wait to work with you!
