About Jessica

I am a high school senior with a passion for English, reading, and writing. I'm excited to help elementary and middle school students become more confident in their ability to read and write.

As a student, I understand that English can sometimes feel overwhelming. That's why I want you to feel comfortable asking as many questions as you need, while also understanding that it's completely okay to make mistakes!

My goal is for you to take away something new from every lesson that can help you in class, whether that means improving an assignment, correcting grammar, better understanding reading material, or developing a new skill. Most importantly, I want to make sure you understand the material and feel as comfortable and confident with it as possible.

About the lesson

I believe English should be fun to learn and enjoyable for everyone, especially elementary and middle school students!

Every lesson may look a little different depending on each student's needs, but you can expect us to work on any English assignments you need help with, proofread and revise your work, learn new grammar concepts, expand your vocabulary and pronunciation skills, and explore new writing techniques.

We will practice together, work independently, and review what we've learned at the end of each lesson. Our English and writing practice is a judgment-free zone, where I want to create a comfortable space where you understand that it's okay to make mistakes. After all, mistakes can become opportunities to create amazing literary work!

My goal is not only to help you complete your assignments, but also to help you become a more confident, clear, and effective reader and writer.
