About Jason

Hello! My name is Jason Wang, and I’m 12th grader attending school in Georgia. I enjoy teaching and tutoring students, and I've had real life experience engaging with them.

ESL Experience: I have a certification in teaching TEFL/TESOL from World TESOL and have 100+ hours of experience with teaching students internationally both in a face-2-face and online environment.

Math Experience: I have taken AP Calculus BC and can navigate through the common struggles of students that they encounter in their math career. I am also currently teaching students Algebra 2 online as well.

Science Experience: I have taken AP Physics 1 and AP Chemistry with AP Biology in progress. I am part of the Science National Honors Society and specialize in tutoring students who struggle on tests.

In teaching, reflection is the most important. For all of my lessons, I also try to reflect on what I can do better to explain concepts and engage the students.

About the lesson

(1) ESL Lessons
- I can tutor AND teach students who are not native to the English language and promoting a friendly English environment.

(2) Math Lessons
- I can tutor AND teach students math, ranging from elementary school to AP PreCalculus.

(3) Science Lessons
- I can tutor AND teach students science, including High School Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

For all of my lessons:

- I use google classroom because it is an easy and effective way to organize my teaching resources, and students can easily locate daily work, projects, and other assessments. For example, each unit or topic is organized into subsections, and every resource for that topic will be posted (homework, games, and assessments).

- Furthermore, for example, if a student wants help or wants to learn about multiplying decimals, I first use google docs to create a calendar. The calendar varies among students, and it is used to show the daily topic/lesson and work.

- To keep the student engaged, I often use Quizizz as a review resource. Furthermore, for every topic, I create some sort of assessment to make sure the student really understands the topic (quiz, test, or project).
