About Jennifer
Education has been my passion since 1999 when I accepted a job teaching high school science while I prepped to take the MCAT for admission into medical school. My short term plan turned into a career in education that has been a magnificent blessing. I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physics, and I was one of 4 individuals who wrote the standards for Forensic Science in Georgia.
I left the science lab to move into administration. I am currently the principal of a college and career academy, but I find myself usually working two jobs so that I can still teach. It is what I love to do.

Teaching and learning works best when lessons are relevant and interactive. All of my lessons are designed to engage the learner and to help them gain a deeper understanding of the sciences - from concept to application.
I have taught both high school students as well as adults. I am comfortable teaching lessons designed for middle and high school students.
Lesson formats include an opening question/problem to be solved. Instruction through videos and simulations, problem solving (putting the learned concepts into practice) and a closing which checks for understanding.
