About Courtney
I am a 25-year-old teacher who is compassionate, caring, and genuinely loves working with children. My passion for teaching is reflected in both my studies and my career. I completed a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Teaching and now work at a high school in Melbourne. I enjoy helping students grow in confidence and understanding, especially in their early learning years. I also have two years of babysitting experience with two young children under six. I previously worked in a therapy clinic supporting children with developmental delays, which strengthened my communication and motivation skills.

My name is Courtney and I am a high school math teacher with a strong interest in how children develop mathematical understanding in the primary years. I focus on building confidence and strong foundations rather than memorizing steps.
I explain ideas clearly and break concepts down into small, manageable parts. I use visual strategies, hands-on examples, and plenty of practice. I encourage students to talk through their thinking and I make sure they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My lessons are aimed at primary school students of all ability levels. I support students who need extra help, confidence building, or extension. Lessons run for 30 minutes to one hour, depending on the student’s age and needs.
