About Vanessa
My name is Mrs. Montes Castro (but I go by Mrs. Moca, like the coffee). I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education. After 5 years of tutoring, interning at a school abroad, and working in public and private schools, I've worked with many different students. It is a pleasure making connections with students and making an impact in their academic and social emotional learning.

Need help in middle or high school math? I'm here to help. I know math can be a difficult subject for many students, I believe with an enthusiastic and relatable teacher, gaps can be filled. I am a young teacher but have experience in different math courses. I enjoy incorporating cultural and relevant topics to make math fun. This way, math concepts can be retained and implemented for new material to be built on.
