About Erin
My name is Erin Lindsey and I am a high school biology and physics teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities, and a Master's in teaching secondary education from National Louis University. I am endorsed to teach students whose first language is not English, and I am currently working on achieving a special education endorsement as well. I have had 5 wonderful years of experience working at a prestigious school where I always keep my expectations of my students high. My favorite part of my job is not teaching, but working 1:1 with students and watching their growth over a long period of time. Fostering relationships and rapport with my students is my #1 philosophy, and I believe that teaching and learning follow naturally after.

I believe in a personalized learning format in which I get to know my students and work at their pace. On a typical tutoring day, I will give my students a mini, expedited lesson on the subject they are working on where we will take notes about the important concepts or "must-haves". Then, we will work through practice, and then students will get a chance to practice on their own. I am a tutor that cares deeply about the success and comfortability of my students and will do whatever I can in my power to help them grasp the material.
