You should take lessons with me because I have talked French my whole life and I always had strong grades in dictation, conjugation and grammar. I have learned different slang and words from other French countries. I moved to the United States two years ago and I am fluent in English and learned different ways of languages learning to adapt easily. As a teacher I will go by your way of preference.
