I worked in the newspaper industry as a copywriter/copyeditor for 14 years before returning to college to obtain my Master's in Secondary Education in English Language Arts grades 6-12. I have taught high school English grades 10, 11, and 12 for three years.

My teaching methodology begins with getting to know my students first and foremost in order to identify their strengths and weaknesses. I try to establish a foundation of knowledge in the subject to begin building on. I utilize encouragement and positive reinforcement to help struggling students achieve their full potential.
