About Miranda
I am a High School English teacher with 17 years experience tutoring and working with children. I have recently obtained my Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University and have been successfully helping students succeed in the academic areas of English and Social Studies / history for my entire career.

I build my lessons around the needs of the student by assessing them during our first meeting through the use of questioning techniques and watching them attempt to solve problems. I then find their areas of strength and weakness and use their strengths to increase their proficiency in the short term while working on developing their weaknesses until they become more self sufficient lifelong learners.
