About Samantha
I am a high school English teacher in north Phoenix and currently teach honors/IB English 1-2 and English 3-4. However, I have experience teaching English 1-2 and English 5-6. Students who take my class leave it with a better understanding of literature and newly developed writing and reading skills.

My teaching method is to create short-term goals for students to accomplish that build upon each other until a student accomplishes their objective. I focus heavily on scaffolding, especially when news skills and concepts are introduced and consistently check for understanding in my students in order for them to be able to work at their own learning pace. Lastly, I try to make it fun!
