I have been informally tutoring since my early teens, although this would be my first paid tutoring job, I have markably improved the work of many students. After my own Advanced Higher A (100% folio and dissertation), my most notable improvement on another students grade was improving an essay at higher level from a D to A

I begin any teaching process by making a student feel comfortable and identifying their weaknesses and strengths, from there we can achieve their goals and (more importantly) attain the required grades.
I understand that not every individual has a natural affinity for English as a subject, but I believe that every student is capable of achieving an impressive grade in English. I have a particular aptitude for improving folio pieces.
I have a good grasp of the Scottish education system and understand what teachers and examiners are looking for. Which is all you need to get a good mark really.
