About Kyra
I have been working as the head of the English department at a high school and am looking to begin teaching private, online classes. For the last two years I have worked one-on-one with students, teaching the essentials of basic to advanced essay writing, and have also coached fellow teachers in best practices for facilitating learning.

The foundation of my teaching methodology is that if a subject is not engaging to a student, they will not retain the information. All learning must be tailored to reel in the attention of the individual. Classes must be framed around the participation of the student rather than the lecturing of the teacher; once material has been presented by the teacher, it is then put into the hand of the student to dissect and question.
